Pros and cons of BrainHack 2.0 app for iPhone and iPad
BrainHack 2.0 app good for
I have very heavy insomnia. I listened to the sleep aid for 1 minute and I fell asleep within half an hour. I slept from 10:30 pm to 12:00 pm the next day. MAKE SURE TO GET GOOD HEADPHONES!!
This is pretty amazing. This app might be the next big thing.
Awesome app. Love it! Works wonders over time, not an instant karama fix, but what is?
So it has a few minor things that could use improving, it still works mostly like advertised, all it needs is a few tweaks.
Im having trouble using the lucid dream part of the App but the rest works well. The problem might be Im using in ear headphones.
Best sleep aid ever! For people having trouble with lucid dreams: turn on sleep aid for a couple minutes then switch to lucid dreams. It really helped me :D
Some bad moments
tried it... nothing really happens. It is just a random pitch played nonstop in the background
its BS
Hadnt had a dream in quite sometime. Ended up having a few them the first night I tried it.
I love these apps, but this one doesnt seem to have a way to use 2 at once. For example, you should be able to use the beats and the masking ones like stream together like other ones out there. I dont really enjoy listening to the beats alone unless masked by the sounds of stream or rain, etc. If they would add this like it claims to be able to do in the info page, I would give it a higher rating.
Overall, meh. Not bad, glad I got it during the special FREE sale though.
1. The "Rain" and "Stream" ambient noise settings are useless. The clips are less than 4 or 5 seconds (yes, SECONDS) long and it takes barely 20 seconds for you to recognize the loop and from that point on, its not soothing in the least.
2. The "universe" ambient setting has pops and clicks all over it. Bad recording. Also not meditative by any stretch.
3. "white noise", fine
4. For some horrible reason at the end of your session the sound just STOPS. abruptly. You can actually hear the click as the app lifts the needle at the last zero crossing. This is tantamount to someone sneaking up behind you and going "Boo!!!" Startling. And stupid. You can workaround this by first setting a Timer alarm on the iphones timer app and set it to something gentle like Harp. Then, as it always does, when the time comes the iPhone will automatically FADE the current apps audio and sound the alarm. A much gentler finish.
Anyway, its ok for a free app. Glad I didnt pay for it though with these glaring design flaws.
I have a bunch of other brainwave apps, this one wasnt the best
I bought this app to see what binaural sounds are all about and I am severely disappointed. I listened to all of them and every one gave me an intense earache and headache. Maybe it just doesnt work for me but the whole experience was painful and disappointing.
